Backpacking in Henry Coe Park, July, 2000

We spent 3 days and 2 nights backpacking in Henry Coe State Park (near Gilroy, CA) during the Fourth of July weekend. To our surprise, there were very few people there. We camped at Tule Pond, a small pond which was a 5 mile hike from the entrance. We then did a day hike which took us 5 miles further into the park to get to beautiful Kelly Lake.
